According to the recall notice, consumers should immediately stop using the fan and contact the Hong Kong China Electrical Appliance Manufacturing Company.

Customers should send the fan's photo and date code to the company to "confirm that their fan is within the recall range."

The consumer will then be instructed to disconnect the fan and provide another photo of the disconnected fan to the company before throwing it away in a trash can or recycle bin.

The company is sending free replacement parts to affected consumers via email.

From February 2018 to August 2021, these fans were sold on Lowes.com, Amazon.com, Wayfair.com, Overstock.com, Hayneedle.com, Houzz.com, eAcces.com and Build.com.
